• Legend Decks of Gadgetzan – Week 1
    12/08/2016
Leaving Priest behind is fine. I am not sold on Dragon Priest myself, sure it's good against specific decks but if they break your rhythm of dropping minions on curve you get pushed back very hard and there's always those games where you have no Dragon synergy for Wyrmrest and Twilight Guardian, doesn't happen very often but it gets really frustrating when it happens in tournaments. Druid, Warlock, Rogue and Warrior seem absolutely fine. Hunter should be really good for countering the Reno decks and Rogue but things haven't been tested enough yet.

Ysera can be subbed for Elise with 0 drawback. Patches is one of the most used legendaries as of now and I recommend making him since he's seeing play in a reasonable number of decks (Aggro Shaman, Pirate Warrior, Aggro/Miracle Rogue). Jade Druid should be good in a Conquest lineup since people will most likely bring new stuff for sure and you can punish Renolock and other slow decks quite well. Just need to escape Zoo(if people even bring it) and Pirate Warrior through the ban or techs and you should be good to go.

Thanks, means a lot to me :)
  • MSOG Jade Druid

Raven Idol was removed, I cut Jade Idol by mistake when editing it. Thanks for pointing it out, didn't notice it at first :) JustSaiyan removed 2 idols and added 1 Feral Rage and 1 Acidic Swamp Ooze and hit Rank 1 Legend 2 days back, wanted to make the change and make it a standardized list since other streamers have been going for the newer build as well.

My bad, Raven Idol was cut out by JustSaiyan. I removed Jade Idol instead. Thanks for letting me know, fixed it. :)

Reno is on the list as a whole with the other 3 explorers Brann, Elise and Finley at rank 2 :) And no, we can't view multiple sets of choice together.

Finding vods would be really difficult but you can get some videos on YouTube: Here's StrifeCro playing the deck - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7qyVRBhAZ4 and a Muzzy vs Dog match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq8DRJvUTm0

Appreciate the kind words. Glad you liked it :) I hope the game deviates from the curve heavy decks in the upcoming expansion. They are pushing singleton decks, in-hand buffs and another 'unique' mechanic is to come for Rogue/Shaman/Druid, let's see how things pan out for the metagame.
  • Blood Warrior: Rage Against The Meta!
    11/06/2016
It's the same deck Rage used to get top 3 legend in October and maintained top legend ranks for more than a fortnight. Just because HotMEOWTH played it sub-optimally doesn't mean it's a bad endorsement is it?
  • N’Zoth Shaman Guide: Purging the Meta
    11/01/2016
You can remove the Brewmaster for it. Barnes fits right into the deck but the creator skipped it because he was facing a lot of Control Warrior and wanted to go for a double N'zoth strategy.

Ah it was a mistake. I meant you should not drop them without getting value in matchups like Freeze. Thanks for pointing it out, fixed it! :)

The Hunter and Tempo Mage should work on ladder vs Shaman. These are mostly counter decks to target specific lineups for tournaments and I doubt they will do well in ladder play consistently. Control Warrior (Yogg and Fatigue variants) and Freeze Mage are the only true counters to Shamans right now.

    10/16/2016
It can be good as a suprise third AoE spell. Some of the smarter Shamans are really conservative with their cards and try to bait out AoEs before finally dropping their Thunder Bluff. It can be a good tech and Abom is not too expensive either, it can be a good idea imo! :)

If you are facing Pirate Warrior, tech in Ooze/Harrison and save it for Arcanite Reaper. You can cut the Barnes for it. It will save you at least 10 damage. You can also add a second Forbidden Healing over 1 Ivory Knight. Freeze Mage preys on Paladin, Rogue and Priest decks most of the time and while you can 'try' to outheal them. A lot of the pro lists currently have Evolved Kobold in their decks and can OTK you without any trouble since you give them all the time in the world to assemble their combo. Teching in Eater of Secrets is a possibility but it will make things particularly difficult against decks that are not Secret Hunter or Freeze Mage. You can add an Eater of Secrets for now and once you stop facing as many Freeze Mages you can cut it out. One of the Acolytes can be subbed out for it.

You can drop it with Doomsayer also. While not all Shamans will necessarily have Hex for Warleader in time, the smarter ones tend to save it for the Warleaders instead of Tirion/Rag if they feel they can deal with the big drops through other means. Alternatively, you can just hold on to the Warleaders (unless you get a good trade with Bluegill+Warleader) and drop Tirion and Ragnaros, Lightlord before dropping them.

I suppose not, Call of the Wild should be fine since you have turn 7-8 plays with this deck. Also the fact that Hunter has no other lategame option outside Call of the Wild and Ragnaros should lead to Call still being played consistently in all Hunter decks. Sadly no, I do not play on the Americas server, Europe only.
  • The Best Cards Leaving Us In The 2017 Standard Rotation
    09/27/2016
Standard will be around forever but cards will rotate each year. New set rotation will be in April/May (the first content update of 2017) as stated by Ben Brode. The article was meant to highlight cards that are leaving us next year, not the departure of Standard itself.
