• HOOT HOOT – Everything You Need To Know About Silence
    12/30/2015
Race is one of the basic characteristics and can't be silenced, so yes, you can still use Houndmaster etc. on an appropriate minion type.
  • Who’s up for an adventure? – Sir Finley Mrrgglton Analysis
    12/25/2015
In slower/reactive decks It's good because you will pick the best hero power for your situation and Justicar will help you leverage that. Justicar is not great with certain hero powers because they're situational but you are in charge and can pick the right one with Sir Finley which makes it entirely different story. If you don't rely on on tempo and can find time to use your hero power then it will help.
  • MUA: Reno Lock vs Face Shaman
    12/25/2015
ooze makes shaman looze! I found the Void Caller very underwhelming in reno lock when I played it, however I didn't play doomguard it in either, since I usually tap like crazy so my hand would get completely rekt. It should make this matchup easier though. Since if you manage to get the Mal'Ganis out it's a big problem for burst decks. This version seems pretty solid vs aggro ;)
  • MUA: Reno Paladin vs Control Priest
    12/23/2015
I'm actually planning on making a general video guide for the deck on my youtube channel. I've already recorded a game that I will use as an example. The guide should be uploaded before end of this week.
  • MUA: Reno Paladin vs Reno Warlock
    12/22/2015
Hey, sure let me explain ;) Because you can't rely on getting specific cards as much as with decks that run 2 copies of them, you need cards that are good on their own and don't have other requirements. Things like blessing of kings require that you have a minion on the board and if you don't it's a dead card, you can't afford that. The deck needed a little bit more draw and some kind of direct damage to affect the board from hand (killing mana wyrm behind mirror images or killing Tunnel trogg behind feral spirits) and this card fits into a small hole in the deck making it better. Flame Juggler is one of the best 2 drops on his own, it's the only 2 drop that can win a 1v1 vs shielded minibot (50/50 to draw) and adds the much needed 1 damage to affect the board from hand, it's also better against zoo type decks where you need to clear many small minions because of the stat distribution being 2/3. There isn't enough spells to play pyromancer and Flame Juggler doesn't have any special conditions, it's always good. Spellbreaker is there for few reasons. It used to be Murloc Knight but you will find that VERY often you just play MK for tempo on turn 4. This deck doesn't nee more value, it needs to keep up with the mid game tempo. Spell breaker is also better than just a Yeti/Sen'jin/Refreshment vendor because it offer the immediate utility. Second silence is very useful in current meta and definitely worth the 2 health that you lose compared to a minion with better body. With 2 silences you can afford to simply play Spellbreaker turn 4 into a Piloted Shredder etc.

  • How To Reno Jackson – Card Analysis and Decklists!
    12/14/2015
If you play a deck that doesn't just go all-in every time then Reno Jackson is not a problem ;)You also have to understand that this is the exact feeling that control deck players had when someone like face hunter topdecks a kill command for lethal right before they have a chance to secure the game. If you play just a regular midrange deck, like midrange paladin or something then Reno Jackson doesn't even do much for your enemy because you're not all-in. The funny thing is, that every all-in deck basically hopes for RNG to win because if your enemy draws the answers for your early board then you can't win anyway with sub-optimal cards. Reno is actually a card that punishes decks that try to get lucky and kill enemy before regular decks execute their strategy, which is very healthy for the game and the main reason why you can see the biggest variety of decks on the ladder right now compared to pretty much any meta from 2015.

It only counts what you have left in the deck. It's possible that your enemy put cards in your deck or you used something like entomb on a card that you also had in your deck. Using deck tracker can also help remembering what you have left at all times.
  • Deckbuilding with the Final Wing of LoE – Miracle Rogue and Control Priest
    12/10/2015
I will be trying out miracle rogue but I'm not convinced about the tomb pillager, a coin doesn't seem more valuable than a 2 drop on board when you compare it to the shredder and the utility of a coin can be replaced with another cheap cycle spell to get to your preparations faster. It's an interesting thought to and we'll see if it works out ;)

Yea, that makes sense, lots of AOE while developing your own board ;)

I've tried faceless in a Reno deck, it seems to be too situational and will most of the time just sit in your hand but it's an interesting idea (that why I was trying it ;))

It is going to also seem that way even more than it's actually happening because people will wait for the best time and make sure the effect can be used before playing it.

I found molten giant and void caller to be dead cards too often. You can play them but it's less consistent so you have a bigger risk for bigger reward potentially. It's certainly not bad. I've also been playing with implosion, It's a good addition ;)

"have you had any games when you could not draw equality and then could not play Reno?" One time the equalities were in the bottom 7 cards but I didn't need Reno before that. I also keep it in mulligan since I'm used to playing a very greedy style and utilizing it early on when needed. I'm sure there will be a god warrior list with Reno as well but I'm not certain how necessary it is. Good against aggro, but seems a bit redundant against everything else. I seem to have a very easy time against fatigue warrior with other midrange decks.
