Yes, I am. We're all bound to make a few mistakes here and there. It's one of the best cards in the expansion and I overlooked it.

Fair enough. I just don't like that it has that condition. Maybe more Dragons will fit in the deck now and the consistency of the "holding a dragon" mechanic will go up. We'll see.

Yeah I feel similarly about the set overall. I don't think Polymorph: Boar is OP though. In order to get it to charge for you, you are still essentially killing one of your own minions. It also is harder as a Mage to deal with a 4/2 when you're behind. It's a great card no doubt, but probably not insane.

That's very true. I'm open to being wrong, and I'm certain there will be a card or two in here that will surprise. I just don't see any neutral cards that have the same power level. Like, Piloted Shredder we knew was a great card. We just didn't know to what extent. From the neutral set, I can't see anything that is quite as obviously standalone good.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't think these dragons are what the tribe needs. It needed CHEAP and good dragons. I'm talking two or three mana. These dragons are still 4+. Maybe you're right about Chillmaw being good anti-aggro, but it still comes down turn 7, and that's likely just too late.

Oh I get it, and I mention it if the card could be great or not. I also upvoted the likes of Coldarra Drake which is bad in the current metagame based on the possibility that Inspire cards could be good. Same with Maiden of the Lake. It's not easy this, but I'm willing to stick my neck out. Some inspire cards just seem better than others, and even looking ahead at potential combos, cards like Nexus Champion Saraad obviously far outscale the likes of Silver Hand Regent, purely based on the effect of the Inspire. I don't think it's too much of a push to say that one is better than the other.

I think this card just needs to be a 3/5 and it'd be playable. Oh well another card that's gonna fall to the wayside.

*Snowballs* is a pretty generous term for Garrison Commander. The problem with it, isn't its text or effect, but the mana cost of the hero power. Think about your Garrison Commander. You play it on two, and next turn, at most you only have mana for 1 maybe two hero powers (which doesn't have a target). Priest does not need a card like that. Priest would play Zombie Chow if it wants the 2/3 body. Shrink's combo potential is quite a bit larger than Garrison and it barely sees play. The commander won't work in Priest and I'm pretty certain of that.

I wish that were true, but Kragg is just not worth it. Murk-Eye always costs 4 mana and with just 2 Murlocs can charge for 4 damage. The pirate pool is too small and unless they give it a REALLY good standalone card I can't see the archetype catching on. Of the current pool, only Raider, Ship's Cannon and Dread are worth it and you can't build a deck around that.

I don't like Recombobulator. Theoretically it could work, but a 2 drop in a deck that thrives on big minions is a slot that could be better utilized. I've tried it but found it a little dead especially since Handlock often has difficulty keeping a board because of its slow start.

Wild Pyro has absolutely no place in a Freeze Mage deck. Its triggered effect is for board control which is really secondary to what we're trying to accomplish in Freeze Mage. Malygos is a really interesting one. I haven't tried him out yet, but I understand his potency especially with the Ice Spells. Could be fun, but I have a hard enough time making Emperor get value that I don't think it'd have the same consistency as a spell that does 10 dmg out right every time.

This deck is a basic deck. It runs no cards that aren't immediately available to a NEW Hearthstone player. If I may ask, what would you run instead?

Freeze Mage is very rarely played on ladder because it's the easiest deck to tech against and popular streamers often get sniped and directly countered. However, there are plenty of tournament games that feature it being played at a top level. The most standout set of games I remember watching recently that include Freeze Mage is the final of the Seatstory Cup 3. Ostkaka played Freeze Mage and won 2 out of 3. Unfortunately I don't have the time to stream right now. However, I'll look to create some vods this weekend. It's a tough one, but you have to really focus on drawing and constantly think about how you're going to WIN the game rather than just how to keep the board clear. It's a different way of approaching Hearthstone. Lots of pro players play Freeze Mage in tournaments but rarely ever on stream. Fun puzzle. Gotta agree with K3lv here. I don't think the Time Rewinder is the right play here. Losing board presence dooms you when you're on such a low life total and you just do not have the time to play Archmage + Duplicate. Double Fireball to kill Rag is the right play here and you have to hope your Antonidas lives.

I think Cone of Cold is a pretty legitimate tech. The only thing with it though, is that you're basically admitting to the fact you're not going to be able to clear the board and are just going to freeze and stall it. Often against Zoos and other flood decks like Mech Mage, you can actually clear the board with Blizzard and Flamestrike, and that makes Emperor easier to play and defend over a few turns. I'd maybe consider dropping sheep for it, but the 2nd Blizzard is pretty clutch.

I guess actually he has both weapons so he could coin out Death's Bite as an answer. I guess Firebat just had a perfect hand really.

It looks smart, but if Kibler had a Keeper of the Grove, he loses all momentum and has no follow-up. I remember this play. I'm surprised that you didn't comment on that. All that said, without Keeper this is definitely the correct play but I guess he was weighing the odds of Kibler having the Keeper vs not and any potential follow-ups he has.

I disagree. I think Paladin is a great choice now in the meta. It's strong against Mech Mage and Druid, and that's worth it alone in the tournament scene. It's also got good all-around match-ups. Just watch Trump get to legend with it. The deck is good and is reliable for ladder.
